Korean Restaurant

Last Night, Jeff, Steve, and I went to a Korean Restaurant.
Very good food.
When you walk in, they sing something to you (reminded me of “Welcome to Moe’s”).
We ate chicken, pork, sausage, bacon, beef and some veggies cooked on a grill at the table. They bring pre-heated “charcoal” in a pot to put in the cooker in the middle of the table. The charcoal is some sort of wood that is hollow (which I am sure provides more heat – it’s that surface area thing for you engineer-type geeks out there). I was very glad they did that because it was so cold in that restaurant the grill was our only source of heat. In fact, after the young lady finished cooking our food, we asked her to leave the charcoal so we could stay warm. Of course, once we had a live fire in front of us, we began to play in it with our chopsticks. Did you know that wooden chopsticks won’t burn? Smolder – yes. Burn – no. It’s either the type of wood they use or the chemicals used in chopstick manufacturing – I’m certain I really don’t want to know.
Anyway, for some reason, I think the waitress thought we were bizarre. I don’t know why. It seemed a natural progression of events to me … we had three of the required four “F’s” – Food, Fun, and Firewood (sorry, no Football) – what did she think we were going to do; make S’Mores?
When we left, we were accosted by a street entertainer with a monkey. He gives it some commands and it started dancing and entertaining. Of course, he wanted a “little something” for the show, so I gave him some change. He smiled, we laughed, and headed home.
You just never know what you’ll find here – always something entertaining going on!
