I missed it in the photograph, but he did have one of those small extinguishers with him. I guess that wasn't enough.
The interesting thing is that you will notice the picture is slightly blurry because we were blowing past this guy at 60 mph - along with everybody else on the highway. Apparently, this must happen often enough nobody slows down to gawk. Or help.

Maybe it was like the commercial when the kid asks the other kid about buying the bike, "is it fast" and the the reply is "it has flames on the side doesn't it!?". Maybe this was the fast truck with flames on the side and he just went too fast!
